Year 3 Home Learning
Summer 2, Week 6, Week beginning 13th July
Hello everyone!
Thank you for your super Science home learning - I know many of you are also trying the celery experiment to observe the transportation of water. You now have a bank of knowledge based on your learning of plants, their functions, the life cycles and how they adapt.
We have climbed up one to 4th place. It’s great to be in the top 5 again, but you can do more. Get your friends to go onto Spelling Shed and practise, practise, practise. We’ve been at number one before so let’s do it again!
This week’s home learning feedback task is based on Design and Technology. I love all the design tasks you have completed and sent to me for example, a marble run tower! I can tell you have used your trial and improvement problem-solving skills to create your designs. You see, all those maths problem-solving skills can be applied across any area of the curriculum. Have a look at the YouTube videos with a parent to design your own ‘Toilet paper/hand sanitiser’ or your ‘Bell ring/balloon pop.’
Your home learning overview has been attached to this blog and you will also receive it as a ‘class announcement’ in your Seesaw inbox. When you use Seesaw to view a pdf, please press ‘Original View’ - this will allow you to click on any hyperlinks on the pdf.
Within the 'activities' folder, you'll find all your tasks and your fifth weekly teacher check-in video with me.
So I look forward to seeing all your designs, enjoy problem-solving and have fun!
Have another good week and continue to take care.
Mr Berger-North
