Sports Council

At Queensgate Primary School we believe in the importance of pupil voice. That is why we have an active Sports Council.

Children have the opportunity each year to become a democratically elected Sports Councillor for their class. Children are selected from each class (Years 2 to 6) at the start of the year. The children of the Sports Council are enthusiastic about sport, interested in developing sport and P.E. in school, are full of good ideas and a good role model for sporting behaviour.

The Sports Council meet every month. They meet with Mr Knowles, PE leader, to suggest ideas and help organise intra school sporting events, extra-curricular clubs and pass on suggestions from their class as to how to improve school sport at Queensgate.  In addition, they are responsible for keeping our Sports Council up-to-date with match reports, interviews with staff and lots more.
