School Improvement priorities

As a school, we are always striving to build upon our strengths and seek opportunites for further improvement. Each year we produce a School Development Plan identifying our priorities for the coming year. 

Below is an overview of the priorities for this year.

What do we need to do to maintain and improve the quality of education?

 

  1. Pupils to make significant progress from their individual starting points in reading, writing and maths by the end of Key Stage 2.
  2. Continue to review our curriculum to ensure that it is: inspiring, sequential, knowledge-led.
  3. Review how we assess what our children know, can do and can remember in Foundation subjects.
  4. Maximise opportunities in the indoor and outdoor EYFS learning environments EYFS for child-initiated learning and independent application of early reading and writing skills.

 

 

What do we need to do to maintain and improve the behaviour and attitudes of our pupils?

 

  1. Develop confident, articulate and resilient children who are increasingly able to reflect upon their own learning.

 

What do we need to do to maintain and improve upon the personal development of all our pupils?

 

  1. Improve pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing, mental health and wellness.
  2. Ensure our curriculum for SEND pupils is ambitious and bespoke to the needs of each individual.

 

What do we need to do to maintain and improve the effective leadership and management across the school?

 

 

  1. Subject leaders supported to improve staff’s subject, pedagogical content knowledge to enhance the teaching of the curriculum.
  2. Maintain an enthusiastic, motivated and consistent workforce to drive improvement.
